Muesli Teething Biscuits
Age: 7 months +
Serves: 24
1 cup flour
1 cup FAREX Ground Muesli
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp spreadable butter/margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup of breastmilk or formula
Mix everything except the milk in a large bowll. Rub the butter or margarine through the dry ingredients until completely mixed.
Add milk in a thin stream, and mix. Stop adding milk when you can press the dough together to make a ball which is not dry and crumbly, then roll it into an evenly shaped cylinder 20cm long.
Dip a sharp, serrated knife into cold water and cut the cylinder into 24 slices. Pat them so they are a little bigger and more even, or roll each ball into a crayon shape with wet hands.
Place on a tray lined with baking paper and cook at 150oC for 20-30 minutes, until they are lightly browned and hard right through when cool. Leave to cool then put in an airtight jar.
