Mocha Brownies
1 1/2 cup plain flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1 1/2 Tbsp instant coffee powder
2 cup sugar
300g butter, melted
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dark choc bits or the packet
2 tsp orange rind
1/2 cup cream
250g dark choc chopped
2 Tbsp Kahlua or other alcohol
Preheat oven to 180c. Use a slice tray with baking paper.
Sift flour, cocoa and 2 teaspoons of coffee. Stir in sugar. Make well in centre and add butter, eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Fold through choc bits and orange rind.
Spread into tin and bake for about 30 minutes.
Melt together the cream, chocolate, Kahlua and remaining coffee powder. Cool slightly and spread over brownies.
