3 cups white sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped almonds
60g butter
1 tsp vanilla

Boil the milk and the sugar, add the butter and boil until a little dropped in a cup of water will almost set. Beat for 2-3 minutes, then add vanilla and nuts. Turn into buttered pan and when cold cut into shapes.
