Golden Syrup Dumplings
Sauce:
2 cups of water
3/4 cup sugar
30g of butter
1/4 cup of golden syrup
Dumplings:
1 cup self-raising flour
30g butter
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
Combine water, sugar, butter and golden syrup. Select a pan with a tight fitting lid. Stir over a medium heat until the sugar has dissolved then simmer.
Mix flour in food processor for 15 sec. Add the egg and enough milk to form a dough. Roll into small balls and drop into the simmering syrup.
Place the lid on the pan immediately and cook for 10-15 min. Don’t lift the lid during cooking.
