Deep Dish Brownies
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1. Preheat oven to 350oF (180oC or 170oC for fan forced oven).
2. In a large bowl, blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine flour and cocoa. Gradually blend into the egg mixture. Spread into a greased pan. (I use a 20cm square pan
3. Bake for 40-45 minutes (or about 35 mins for fan forced) or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Brownies will still feel very soft and undercooked on top – this is how they’re meant to be!
4. Let brownies cool in pan, then cut into squares.
