Creamy Caramel Nut Slice
1 cup coconut
1 cup self-raising flour
1 cup brown sugar
125g butter, melted
395g can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbsp golden syrup
1/2 cup cream
30g butter, extra
1/2 cup chopped nuts (any kind – unsalted)
100g chocolate milk melts, melted
Preheat oven to 180c.
Combine coconut, flour, brown sugar and butter in bowl.
Press into base of 18cm x 28cm lamington pan.
Bake 10 minutes, cool.
Combine sweetened condensed milk, golden syrup, cream and extra butter in pan. Bring to boil stirring; simmer stirring 8 minutes, pour over base.
Sprinkle nuts over caramel. Bake 10 minutes, cool.
Drizzle with melted milk melts as desired.
