Caramel Cookies
Serves: 36
125g butter
125g sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
250g self-raising flour
1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
2. Add sugar, golden syrup, milk and vanilla essence. Boil gently for five minutes. Cool and then add to flour.
3. Roll mixture into walnut-sized balls.
4. Place on greased baking tray and flatten with a fork.
5. Bake in moderate oven for 10-12 minutes.
