Barbecue Steak Rolls
Serves 4
480g lean rump steak, cut into strips
2 shallots (spring/green onions), chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
8 sheets filo pastry
1. Preheat an oven to 190C. Coat an oven tray with cooking spray.
2. Heat a non-stick frypan coated with cooking spray and fry steak until lightly browned (do not over crowed pan otherwise food will stew). Add shallots and garlic and cook a further 1 minute. Allow to cool, then stir in the bb sauce and soy sauce.
3. Layer 2 sheets of filo pastry together and place a quarter of the beef mixture onto the pastry. Roll up pastry, tucking ends under. Place on prepared tray and repeat with remaining ingredients to make four rolls.
4. Coat rolls with cooking spray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown, turning once during cooking.
