Baked Carbonara
400g Fettuccine
4 Eggs
2 Cups Cream
1 1/2 Cups Milk
4 Rashers Bacon
1 cup sliced mushroom
1 onion diced
1-2 cloves of garlic
A sprinkle of Italian Herbs
1/2 Cup grated Parmesan
A sprinkle of grated Cheddar
Preheat oven to 180C. Cook the Pasta till al dente. At the same time fry up the onion, bacon then when it’s getting crispy add the garlic (this prevents garlic from burning), Mushrooms and Herbs. Then set aside. Drain Pasta and place in an 8 cup casserole dish; add bacon, onion, garlic, mushroom, herb mix. In a large bowl or large jug whisk eggs, milk, cream then once combined add both cheeses and pour over pasta, you can mix it slightly. Then Cook in oven for 30 minutes. When it’s done transfer it to a different bowl or dish, that way the sauce combines properly.
