Bacon and Mushroom Sauce
25g butter
1 clove garlic chopped
half onion chopped finely (optional)
2 rashers bacon chopped
3-4 medium mushrooms chopped
1/2 cup cream
2-3 Tablespoons of parmesan cheese
Rump steak or veal
Melt butter in pan, add garlic, onion and bacon and fry until onion is clear. Add mushrooms and about 1 Tablespoon of water, stir quickly over medium heat. When mushrooms are cook, turn down the heat and add cream and stir well. Add pepper and parmesan cheese. Leave to one side while cooking steak or veal. Reheat sauce gently and pour over meat.
