Sticky Chicken Wings
16 chicken wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp finely chop ginger
1. Preheat oven to 200c.
2. Trim away wing tips and lie wings in a baking tin in a single layer, skin side down.
3. Place soy sauce, wine, sugar and ginger in small saucepan and stir over low heat until sugar has dissolved, then pour mixture evenly over wings.
4. Place wings in oven and cook for 35 minutes before turning over. Continue cooking about another 25 minutes until wings are a deep, sticky, glossy brown.
Note: You’ll probably find it takes longer than this to turn sticky. Just keep an eye on it and when it’s sludge-like and thick, then they are ready.
