Chocolate Almond Balls
Makes about 24
125g cream cheese
1 tablespoon brandy
1 cup Nutella
350g Madeira cake, crumbled
1/2 cup ground almonds, toasted
180g dark chocolate
15g copha
2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted and chopped
1. Beat cheese with brandy until smooth. Beat in Nutella. Mix in cake crumbs and almonds. Refrigerate until firm.
2. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Arrange on a foil-lined tray.
3. Melt chocolate and copha in a saucepan. Spoon over balls (or dip balls in chocolate). Sprinkle with almonds. Refrigerate until firm. Keep refrigerated.
