Cheese and Vegemite Pull Apart
2 cups Self raising flour
30 g Butter
1 cup Grated tasty cheese
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Water
2 tablespoons vegemite
extra 1/2 tablespoons grated tasty cheese
butter to serve
Place flour in a large bowl. Rub butter into flour using hands, stir in cheese.
Combine milk and water in a small jug, reserve 1 tablespoon on mixture. Add remaining milk mixture to flour mixture, stir until mixture forms a sticky dough (do not over mix).
Place dough onto a lightly floured surface. Press into a 25cm x 30cm rectangle, spread top evenly with vegemite. Roll up both opposite short sides to meed the centre of the dough, cut dough into five pieces.
Place rolls, cut side down, onto a greased oven tray, forming a round (rolls should be touching), Brush all over with the remaining milk mixture, sprinkle with extra cheese.
Cook in a hot oven (200c) for about 20 minutes or until cooked when tested.
Stand pull-apart on tray for five minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Serve warm with butter.
